I'm Maitreyi, a service designer with a background in visual communication, drawn to the why behind things.

 

I'm currently pursuing an MA in Service Design at the University of the Arts, London, and honestly, it feels like coming home. For over three and a half years, I've worked alongside multidisciplinary teams, navigating the messy, collaborative, and deeply human process of making design actually work in the real world. I've been lucky enough to do that across spaces I genuinely care about- healthcare, sustainability, social impact, places where the stakes are real and the work matters.

 

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: good design starts with listening. Not just to briefs or data, but to people, their frustrations, their hopes, the gaps between how things are and how they could be. I'm driven by curiosity, and by the kind of storytelling that doesn't just communicate ideas but moves people to see things differently.

 

I don't think design is about having all the answers. For me, it's about asking better questions and staying humble enough to keep learning from the ones you can't yet answer.
